FAQs
Does Haven take insurance?
Haven doesn’t take insurance. That keeps decisions about your care between you and the person you work with. If you have out-of-network benefits, you can still use them.
After each session you’ll receive a receipt. For therapy, you can also ask for a superbill, which has what your insurer needs to consider reimbursement. If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, please talk with your therapist before you start. Coaching isn’t covered by insurance and has no superbill.
How much does therapy or coaching cost?
Here’s what sessions cost.
Individual and relationship therapy: $175 per 50 to 55 minute session.
Coaching: $175 per 50 to 55 minute session.
Consultation (15 minutes): free.

Do I need to schedule a consultation to start services?
Yes. Every client starts with a free 15-minute video consultation. You talk about what you need, and we tell you honestly whether we can help. It’s how we make sure you and your clinician are a good match.
Please note: If you are requesting relationship therapy, all partners should be present at the consultation.
Is Haven the right fit for me?
Haven is for women in midlife who are carrying a lot and want help sorting it out. We aren’t the right fit for an emergency, or for needs outside what we offer. If that’s you, we’ll help you find someone who is. If you’re in crisis, call or text 988.
Do you offer therapy where I live?
We see therapy clients in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Michigan, as long as you are physically in one of those states during your session. Coaching is a separate service and is available in every state. If you want therapy in another state, you can join the therapy waitlist.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy looks at what hurts and where it comes from. Coaching looks at what’s next. Coaching isn’t therapy, doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, and isn’t right if you need mental health care.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you’re working on. Sessions are usually weekly or every other week, and your clinician will talk with you after the first few about what makes sense.
Are sessions in person?
No. Sessions are by video, so all you need is a private spot and a steady connection.
Do Haven clinicians prescribe medication?
No. Our clinicians are therapists, and therapists don’t prescribe.
